Up to Something

We're always up to something around here, whether its marveling at the snow and the sun, discovering the amazing Children's Museum, going to new playgroups, celebrating birthdays with friends, or just hanging around the house reading, making messing, dragging blankets around or wearing oven mitts on our hands, this is Rosie's favourite new thing to do -- she also loves broccoli, clementines, and William's computer!

We have been to the museum twice and we love it! William has a love/hate thing going on with the dinosaur exhibit, but the more he seems to read and learn about them at home, the more brave he is to see them. We have had a lot of fun there so far. (I love the picture of Rosie and the fish, look at them checking each other out :)

I'm One!!

Hooray! Happy 1st Birthday Rosie-Bear!!

Look at her! She's One, she's happy! She's our baby and how did she get so big so fast!

The festivities began the day before when William so diligently prepared a card for his baby sister's first birthday. A trip to the Dollar Store yesterday afternoon for gift bags involved much singing of Happy Birthday to Rosie by William up and down the aisles!

We had the nicest possible day today. For starters, the weather reached twenty degrees and we spent most of it outside in the sunshine!

The day began with William waking Rosie up in bed with balloons and singing Happy Birthday. This was followed by presents and pancakes. The highlight of the morning was Rosie's new doll, Upsy Daisy, given to her by William.

And William, even though he distinctly told us he didn't want a present, only Rosie gets presents on her birthday, was over the moon with his new Charlie and Lola storybook.

With a still-sick Daddy in tow, we got into the car and after dropping him at work, made our way to Heather's house (of course :) for a sunshiny morning of yummy carrot cupcakes and playing outside! Thanks Heather!

There's nothing better than having your birthday with a good friend!

By dinner we were ready to eat, and eat we did. More cupcakes made by Mommy and Daddy. Mmm vanilla!

The night ended with a warm bath for just Mommy and Rosie, just like a year ago. And then storytime with the boys.

And one last cuddle with Mommy.

I hope you had a wonderful day Baby, we love you :) Happy Birthday! xoxo

Days of Autumn: 19

Let the festivities begin!

This weekend our beloved Aunt Bonnie came for a visit! This means; colouring Cars pictures with William, stories, cuddles, laughing, coffee (lots!), exchanging books, too many treats, a trip to the library, another to a bakery, watching the Sex in the City movie but not eating the Doritos because we were so full, eating Indian take-away (that's why we were so full!), and most importantly Rosie's first ever birthday present!!! An In The Night Garden Toy for sorting shapes, a gorgeous sweater and matching hat, and more clothes :) It was a perfect, cozy weekend and she really didn't stop playing with the kids for a second. Thank you Aunt Bonnie, we love you!

Days of Autumn: 18

This is Halloween! This year's festivities began with a trip to Daddy's work, followed by lunch at Harvey's :)

When Daddy came home early, it was time for the annual fantastic pumpkin carving to begin! One pumpkin for William (uh, I mean Bob the Builder) and one for Daddy.

Rosie was admired at Daddy's work by many of the engineers on their way to labs.

And nowadays, Halloween just wouldn't be Halloween without ending up cozy on the couch of our good friends, Heather and Josh after collecting a great loot in their neighbourhood. The only thing different this year was we were minus two waddling mommies and plus two more adorable babies! Smile!

This is Halloween!
